I tried to replace the refill in a Pilot multi pen once, and unfortunately it Ruined The Pen, which means the Pilot Dr Grip multi pens aren’t Refillable compared to their single pen counterpart!😤

It is a ball pen or a gel pen ?

I just started using the Precise V5 needle point refill in the Dr. Grip Mauve Barrel too and it writes so much better than with the original G2 refill.

I like more something inbetween, fm would be the best. I have a elite 95s in fine and I love to write with it. I bought a koshi sterling silver in m and it felt like a broad european. Even my pro gear in medium was finer then the pilot m. So I will buy the f and tune it to get it more juicy. Otherwise I will buy just the inlay in fm.Lets see....

I have been in love with the 1.6mm version ever since I discovered them a couple of years ago. Soooo smooth and a pleasure to use. I recently learned about and immediately purchased the aluminum version and it is incredible. heavier and super sharp looking, tho the matching silver cap looks a bit cheesy in plastic.

How do you refill the pencil

NO WAY!!! NOPE!! I write so much every single day, and the Pilot G-2 Gel Roller 0.7mm medium point is the ONLY way to go! Way more colors, way smoother, writes cleaner....I think you need just need to break one in real good. Plus a lot of it is the paper you're writing on. Pentel Energels are garbage!

What a beautiful pen..gave one to wifey yesterday and I got the LE Capless 1918 edition... You have an awesome nail colour there.. By the way the experience of the pen is awesome

Would you say the grip is as squishy as the dr grip ballpoint pen? If it's not that squishy and soft I don't want it

If you pull out the nib to clean it, be careful to push it back in all the way when you finish, because even if you think you put it back on the pen, it might not sit exactly where it should and that will cause similar issues to the babies bottom. (Hard starts, skips etc)

I bought a pack 2 days ago and I officially decided this will be my brand from now on. All I ever wanted was a ball point that was nice and bold so no more gels which I didn't like buying. I'm so happy with these!!

I have this one, it was a gift. I like it so much I’ve been considering getting another Lamy….I’m wondering if they use the same nibs in all the Lamy models? My Lx is the rose gold with a black medium nib, but I was surprised at how fine the nib writes….it’s finer that my Japanese mediums. It’s so fine that at first I thought that the box was mislabeled, that it must be a fine nib. And looking at your writing samples, seems to me that mine writes finer than yours. And I get hardly any feedback at all on Tomoe river and Midori MD paper. Great pen, great writer.

I have a Pilot Metropolitan with a fine nib and a Moonman Vanishing Point knock-off in medium. I’ve definitely noticed the same things you talked about here. But I also wanted to share about bolder nibs that lay down ink to really show it off: I ended up with a new old stock german fountain pen from the late 1940s. It was advertised as a fine flex nib, and it probably was at one point, but what I actually got was garbage. The tines were stuck on each other, the slit was too narrow to allow ink flow, and it would literally cut the paper on downstrokes. I got the tines to mostly sit together and got the slit opened up enough to write, but it was still tearing paper. I got out my extra fine sand paper and started trying to smooth out the nib a little bit. Before I knew it, my fine flex was suddenly a 1.3mm stub nib with no flex, but boy does it ever lay out the ink. Absolutely impractical for taking notes, but for addressing birthday card envelopes and stuff, it’s great. I had some Waterman Mysterious Blue in it and found some subtle red sheen as well as shading with how thick it was laying it down.

Very helpful, but still needed another of the same pen to show me what length the refill and holder should be. It needed to be pushed in further, using a bit more force.

The raden Vanishing Points are gorgeous. I was torn between the Galaxy and the Water Surface, I chose the Water Surface.

Pentel now makes an Alloy body for the Energel refills. I like it better than the Pilot Limited body.

Guys, this is easily refillable with fountain pen inks. Been doing it since ages.

I use Bic for drawing and shading. It’s annoying when they don’t label the size of the pens but if you buy the 3 main sizes it’s pretty obvious what size an unlabelled one is. It sounds as if the black you bought was their medium. You can get a BIC Cristal fine which is very thin and you have the broad 1.6mm. I like BIC because they flow well and consistently and are not as prone to “ blobbing” as some brands. Their colours also seem to be quite vibrant.

Your videos ultimately convinced me to try the Success Choice system and I have used it on and off for years. It is likely the best system I have ever tried. But sometimes it is just too much planner for me. I am curious about this system and now that they have a neutral option, I am considering it but looking at older videos on the system itself. And, once again, your videos are really helping me out.
